Some examples of the kinds of work undertaken by Principals
First consultants in recent months: |
- School Improvement: at the Principal’s
request, consultants interviewed most members of staff in
a large secondary college in order to identify areas for
improvement. A report was written, following which
we worked with staff to develop an action plan.

- Coaching: our consultant has worked with
a sectional head of school as part of a program for leadership
development.

- Appraisal: consultants have been involved
in appraisals of Principals in non-government schools. A
key element in that process has been extensive interviewing
of school community members.

- Performance and Development Culture: consultants
assisted primary school staff groups to understand Performance
and Development Culture and work towards accreditation.
